Welcome to SportsHCI 2026
Following the successful inaugural edition, we are delighted to welcome researchers and practitioners back to SportsHCI 2026, the second annual conference dedicated to exploring the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and sports. The conference provides a vibrant space to exchange ideas, engage in critical discussions, and collectively shape the future of this growing research community.
We welcome submissions on HCI in Sports including performance support and analysis, injury prevention, skill acquisition, rehabilitation, and the experiences of athletes, coaches, and fans. We define “athlete” broadly to include all persons who engage in sport at any level.
Maintaining a single-track format, SportsHCI 2026 is designed to foster collaboration and open dialogue across disciplines. In addition to work from the HCI discipline, we welcome work from other disciplines including human movement science, sports science, and learning science whose work advances knowledge around HCI in sports. By bringing these perspectives together, we aim to build a thoughtful, inclusive, and genuinely interdisciplinary community.
SportsHCI 2026 will take place on 16-18 November 2026 in Saarbrücken, Germany, as a fully in-person conference.
We look forward to welcoming you and to the insights, discussions, and connections that will emerge at SportsHCI 2026!
